Popular Nigerian singer Yemi Alade has refuted extensively disseminated rumors that she experienced sexual harassment from men in the music industry.
As you may remember, there were internet accusations circulating that the singer said she doesn’t get awards in Nigeria because she won’t have sex with the organizers.
Online reports said that because the singer refused to have sex with the event producers, she rarely received recognition in Nigeria.
Yemi Alade responded by criticizing fake news sources on her Instagram account for spreading false information about her.
She asserted to have read the interview and called it the epitome of folly and a foolish write-up.
She referred to anyone who disseminated false material as “dumb bloggers” and advised them to get a hobby.
In her words: “So yall gon start creating false stories everytime you get bored? Smh! Stupidity at its peak! Very unintelligent writeup.
“When I read the interview that Yemi Alade recently did, I was like “wow, Yemi Alade don suffer”. Mtchww get a job stupid rumour mongers of false news. Unintelligent excuse for a bug with a phone !!! aka dumb blogger.”
