Afrobeat musician Rema‘s claim to be on the same level as the “Big 3” is, according to critic Daniel Regha, completely absurd.
The singer, who asserted that he was on par with the current top three well-known artists, Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy, sparked discussions regarding the greatest Nigerian musicians on social media.
Daniel Regha responded by calling Rema a “upcomer” in the music industry who currently only has one successful song. He may be a worldwide celebrity, but it doesn’t make him the best.
According to the famous critic, no rookie has performed well enough to be listed among the top 10. It will take them years, despite their achievements, to lace the icon’s boots.
His words: “Rema is still an upcomer in the music game with just ¤ne hit song at the moment; He’s a global sensation, but that doesn’t put him in the top category. For the record, no newbie or upcomer has done enough to be in the “Top 10″ debate, despite their accomplishments it will take years for ’em to lace the icons’ boot. No shades.”
