Erik Ten Hag’s boys did a great job in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup as they beat Liverpool to advance to the semi-finals.
Manchester United defeated Liverpool 4-3 when Amad Diallo’s game-winning goal in the last seconds of extra time sealed an incredible FA Cup quarterfinal.
Scott McTominay gave United the lead early on, but Mohamed Salah and Alexis Mac Allister gave Jurgen Klopp’s team the lead later on.
After Antony’s late equaliser forced extra time, the visitors rallied, leading 3-2 thanks to Harvey Elliott.
Old Trafford roared when Diallo squeezed home the winner after Marcus Rashford had tied the score at three.
However, the drama had really just began when Elliott of Liverpool scored the first of three goals in extra time.
After his strike deflected past Andre Onana, the young player felt he had won it, but Rashford made amends by bringing United back to equal terms.
And that created an incredible backdrop for the hosts to win it, as Antony, at full-back, and Bruno Fernandes limping around in defence led them to a stunning finish.
Before bringing the madness to a close and getting sent off for taking off his shirt during the celebration, Diallo was the unlikely hero.
Manchester United head-on against Coventry in the semi-finals on April 20 and if they scale through, they will face the winner between Manchester City and Chelsea.
