Jonathan Majors senting includes no jail time for assault case

American actor Jonathan Majors was sentenced to no jail time for his involvement in an assault case on Monday, April 8.

The actor showed up in the New York court with his girlfriend, Meagan Good, by his side. He was facing up to a year in prison after being accused of hitting up his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari. He ignored queries and had a serious, grave appearance.

The two-week trial concluded with a guilty verdict. This came about following several witnesses’ accounts of events in March 2023, when he was accused of inflicting physical violence on Jabbari when they were riding in a rideshare on their way home.

That evening’s surveillance tape was shown to the jury in court; although the events inside the car were never shown, the events outside the car were.

Majors received a one-year intervention programme that will be completed in Los Angeles in lieu of jail time. He will be required to complete 12 months of counselling, one session every week for 52 weeks. According to the D.A.’s office, he may have to serve time in jail if he disobeys these rules.

In his first interview after the verdict, Jonathan, for his part, insisted on his innocence while expressing regret for the way he handled the situation with Jabbari.

Jonathan has already suffered greatly as a result of the guilty decision; he has been fired from several Hollywood roles, including his most profitable one as Kang the Conqueror for Marvel.
